About Northwest Hockey League

The Northwest Hockey League was formed in 1982 to provide safe, competitive, recreational youth hockey at all age levels. The Northwest Hockey League consists of different member clubs that agree to exchange ice time in order to play games in a league format. Member clubs agree to open registration on a first-come, first-serve basis. Clubs that have more than one team at an age level submit to an equitable NWHL approved draft procedure.

Incorporated in 1992, the NWHL Board of Directors (officers and NWHL representatives) meet monthly to discuss scheduling, rules, tiering, zero tolerance, coordination of officials and post-season tournament play. Monthly meetings are held at the Park District of Franklin Park Community Center, 9560 Franklin Avenue on the 2nd Tuesday of the month beginning at 7:00 p.m. The public is welcome to attend League meetings. If you have specific League questions, please contact your NWHL representative who will interact with the board.

Clubs interested in becoming a part of the NWHL should contact Sara V. Bolan, Vice President a sbolan@fpparks.org or 847-671-4268 for more information. Individuals looking for a club, enter your zip code to the right to “Find a club near you.”
